  1. What is Self-Management?

Self-management is the ability to control and regulate your own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to achieve professional goals. It involves being self-aware, self-disciplined, and motivated to take responsibility for your actions, stay organized, and adapt to challenges effectively. 

 

  1. Why is self-management necessary?

Self-management is necessary because direct supervision by management is not possible when working remotely or on a HYBRID. Working offsite will requires management of your own time, tasks, supporting accounts.

 

  1. Benefits of self-management?

Staff self-management saves the company money because costs for direct supervision are significantly reduced. Wages and related labor expenses are typically the largest operating costs for any business often accounting for up to 70% of total expenses (This figure encompasses gross salaries, payroll taxes, benefits).

A key benefit for workers is the freedom to plan, prioritize their own daily work, and to customize their working system. 

 

  1. Will the company provide me with a structured guide by which to self-manage?

Yes, you will provided a FIXED TASK SCHEDULE to guide your self-management to guide you during each workday. 

 

  1. What happens if I fail set-up, control or manage required user accounts necessary to support my REMOTE/HYBRID working? 

In the event that you fail to set-up supporting user accounts, or to self-manage, the following actions may be taken by the company: - 

  • Employment temporarily paused (without pay)
  • Your contract of employment will changed to fulltime working, requiring that you work 100% onsite once a workspace becomes available.

 

  1. What are the six key support accounts required for effective self-management and offsite working?

The following are the (6) key support accounts required while remote/hybrid working. All of the following accounts must me set-up by each remote/hybrid worker. None of the accounts can be skipped:  - 

  • Online texting account
  • Work/agency emails 
  • VOIP phone account for online calling 
  • ZOOM video account with recording capability
  • Job board posting account
  • Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) online payment method
